Rocky Paulson

Instructor, Basic Entertainment Rigging

Rocky Paulson started rigging in 1969 at the Cow Palace in San Francisco. In 1973, he became a member I.A.T.S.E. and later that year he went to work for NBC as a rigger for the Disney on parade shows as well as production rigger on NBC's production of Peter Pan.  After traveling on several continents with these shows, Mr. Paulson worked numerous concert tours and shows. Clients included Earth Wind & Fire, Pink Floyd and The Grateful Dead to name a few. 

In 1977, Rocky formed the first entertainment rigging production company, Stage Rigging, which continues to hold its position as one of the most respected entertainment rigging companies in the U.S.  At the end of 2005, he retired from Stage Rigging, but has continued teaching activities, including ITI's new Basic Entertainment Rigging & Inspection Course
