NCCCO Mobile Crane Operator Practical Exam for $99

ITI is offering a special pricing event for students willing to participate in a research study on our brand-new Virtual Reality (VR) Mobile Crane Simulator.

This study follows positive feedback on our VR units from crane operators at the recent CONEXPO exhibition. For students willing to participate in the study, ITI will provide students with an NCCCO Swing Cab Practical Exam for just $99.00 (reg. price $450.00) which is inclusive of all NCCCO fees.  You will be asked to conduct several tasks on the VR Simulator similar to those you will encounter on the actual crane exam. Students should plan on allowing up to one hour of additional time to participate in the study.

OSHA Crane Rule Enforcement Delay Proposed

On June 6, 2017, OSHA (via the Federal Register), announced that the Advisory Committee on Construction Safety and Health (ACCSH), will hold a teleconference meeting on Tuesday, June 20, 2017. The purpose of the meeting is to consider a proposed extension to the enforcement date of OSHA’s ballyhooed crane operator certification requirement in the Cranes and Derricks in Construction Standard. The proposed extension is for one additional year, with the final crane rule going into effect November 10, 2018. OSHA’s proposal effects the existing employer responsibility to ensure that crane operators are “trained and competent,” with the employer duty also being extended until November 2018.
