Crane Training - 2021 NCCCO Mobile Crane Operator Prep & Exams Open Enrollment Dates

To assist crane operators that need to comply with OSHA 1926.1400 regulations, which requires crane operators working in construction or performing construction-related activities to be certified through a nationally accredited agency, ITI offers a Mobile Crane Operator Prep Course with NCCCO Nationally Accredited Certification testing. The course includes a 3-day test prep to ensure mobile crane operators are prepared to take the NCCCO nationally accredited exams.

This program is designed to prepare participants to take the general and crane-specific exams in the NCCCO Crane Operator Certification Series. The following Certification Categories are offered*:

  • Lattice Boom Crawler (LBC)
  • Lattice Boom Truck (LBT)
  • Telescoping Boom Swing Cab (TLL)
  • Telescoping Boom Fixed Cab (TSS)

*Not all certification categories are offered at all ITI Training Centers

Course Schedule

*Test Prep Training Course (Days 1-3)
This is a classroom only session and includes; training, sample exams, and load chart exercises

Practical Exams (Days 4-5)

Candidates perform the hands-on practical portion of the Mobile Crane Operator Certification process. Practical exams are provided based on the candidate's category selection. Candidates must complete a practical exam for every category they need to be certified in.

Written Exams (Days 4-5)

The Mobile Core Exam is administered. Additionally, candidates may choose any of the supplemental exams from the certification categories listed above.

*The Test Prep Course is not mandatory to take the exams.

Upon Completion

Each student that completes the full 3-day course will receive 2.4 Continuing Education Units (CEUs), as well as a certificate of completion.

Written and Practical Exams are offered (additional fees apply) on days 4 and 5, following the 3-day prep course at ITI Training Centers.

Students who pass both the written and practical exam(s) will receive an NCCCO Certification which is valid for five (5) years.
