ITI VR Wins Heavy Lift Award for Use of Technology in Training

On October 15th, approximately 400 individuals from across the globe gathered in Antwerp, Belgium to celebrate excellence in heavy lifting, specialized transport and project logistics at the inaugural Heavy Lift Awards founded by Heavy Lift & Project Forwarding International (HLPFI). Over the course of the evening, awards were presented in 12 categories. Industrial Training International (ITI) received the Training Award for the use of technology in enhancing crane operator training through its VR Crane Simulator.

This is the third award ITI has received in recognition of the simulator. In 2017, the VR Awards named the simulator, Best Use of VR in Education and then in 2018, the Lifting Equipment Engineers Association (LEEA) awarded it the Innovative Product of the Year. Since launching in 2017, the simulator continues to be an evolving training solution for crane operators and organizations around the world. The initial launch at ConExpo in Las Vegas had merely 2 crane types. In 2018, ITI launched an additional 3 crane types and then in 2019, 2 more. ITI continues to refine the 1,000+ training scenarios as well as add new features including, localization options, training environments (job sites), and of course crane and equipment types. Innovation never ends and ITI represents this through its mission, “We exist to serve and learn every day.” and its history of continually improving the training offered to customers.
