Liebherr 550-EC-H Tower Crane Available Now from ITI VR Crane Simulations

Newest Release Includes Tower Crane & Down Cab RT-400

ITI VR Simulations' (iti.com/vr) latest software release is now live for all ITI VR Subscribers! Affectionately known as "v1.5.431," the update introduces two new types crane to the simulation library, launches new control pod hardware, updates user manual documentation (now available in Spanish, German, and French), and an improved master scenario list that offers a streamlined experience in terms of building custom training paths to target specific operator skills and learning objectives. 

Liebherr 550-EC-H Tower Crane

The addition of the Liebherr 550-EC-H Tower Crane to the ITI VR Simulations Library is the first commercially available tower crane simulator powered by VR technology. The ITI VR Tower Crane experience is optimized in terms of hardware with new Dual-Axis Tower Crane Pods (x2), but can also be used with existing Multi Axis Pods (x2).

The ITI VR Tower Crane offers operators and trainees 144 training scenarios that focus on the following learning objectives:

  • Corridor Scenarios: Perfect fine movements and multiple simultaneous functions as the operator is tasked with guiding a test weight along a set path.
  • Hook | Pole Scenarios: Operators will focus on precision as they are guided through the process of lifting and placing wireframe objects on pole targets.
  • Barrel Scenarios: Learning objectives focus heavily on controlling the swing and throttle of the crane to achieve the end goal of placing the headache ball into barrel targets whilst not making contact with the barrel and keeping it upright. 
  • Pancake Scenarios: Work to carefully upright metal plates and gently set down by using bridge, trolley and hoist functions simultaneously.
  • Catching Scenarios: Practice "catching" swinging loads in multiple directions.
  • NCCCO Certification Exam Prep: Practice the skills required to pass the NCCCO Tower Crane Operator Practical Exam.

The ITI VR Down Cab RT-400 offers operators and trainees 144 training scenarios that focus on the following learning objectives:

  • Corridor Scenarios: Perfect fine movements and multiple simultaneous functions as the operator is tasked with guiding a test weight along a set path.
  • Signal Scenarios: Operators will learn, review, and follow hand signals to navigate a load on a defined travel path.
  • Barrel Scenarios: Learning objectives focus heavily on controlling the swing and throttle of the crane to achieve the end goal of placing the headache ball into barrel targets whilst not making contact with the barrel and keeping it upright. 
  • Catching Scenarios: Practice "catching" swinging loads in multiple directions.
  • NCCCO Certification Exam Prep: Practice the skills required to pass the NCCCO Telescopic Boom-Fixed Cab (TSS) Practical Exam.
