Working At-Heights Around Mobile Cranes - New Training Resource within ITI Learning Hub

Written by Industrial Training International | Apr 9, 2021 3:15:00 PM

At-heights work is consistently recognized as one of the highest risk activities in the industrial workplace. Contributing to the risk factor is not only the potential catastrophic fallout of an at-heights incident or accident, but also the sheer volume and prevalence of at-heights work across both general industry and construction. This notion is reflected in the latest batch of data from Federal OSHA for 2020, where at-heights work was the number one cited narrative in terms of construction.

Driven by the high-risk nature of at-heights work, along with the added variables presented when at-heights work is paired with working on and around mobile cranes, ITI has added a new online, on-demand training course to the ITI Learning Hub – Working At-Heights Around Mobile Cranes.

The 30-minute course is part of the Crane & Rigging Fundamentals Library and is available to Learning Hub Subscribers and as a stand alone “a la carte” option as well. There are no formal pre-requisites for Working At-Heights Around Mobile Cranes, however, a general understanding of fall protection devices and methods will be beneficial for perspective students. The course is broken up into the following modules:

  • Introduction
  • Regulations Overview
  • Using Fall Prevention and Protection
  • Planning Considerations
  • Case Study
  • Learning Check (Quiz)

Students who complete every one of the modules in their entirety will receive a certificate of completion, which can be accessed via their learner record in the Learning Hub. Working At-Heights Around Mobile Cranes is included in all Learning Hub subscription levels (individual and group) and can be purchased a la carte for $45.
