Starting January 1st, 2020, the National Commission for the Certification of Crane Operators (NCCCO) will no longer require a physical/medical evaluation of operator certification candidates. Written and practical exams are not affected by the announced change.

OSHA Stops Accepting CIC Crane Operator Certifications

The following is an excerpt from an article original published by cranehotline.com

OSHA’s Directorate of Construction has temporarily stopped accepting certifications that are issued by Crane Institute Certification (CIC) after Dec. 2.

OSHA is recognizing CIC certifications issued up to that date.

The temporary enforcement policy comes as a result of CIC’s accreditation having lapsed while its latest application for accreditation is in process.
