2016 Rigging Engineering Scholarship
Lifting Gear Hire and ITI partner to make this professional development opportunity a reality
Professional development is an essential element for any career path. Lifting Gear Hire wanted to help encourage people working with the crane and rigging industry to invest in themselves to develop additional knowledge and skill. Enter ITI. Last year, ITI started a new training program, Fundamentals of Rigging Engineering, which touts accreditation with the Lifting Equipment Engineers Association (LEEA) and continuing education unit approval from the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME). Every few months, a new course was released and by August a student could complete the entire program.
To commiserate this event, Lifting Gear Hire is sponsoring a full program seat (5 required courses and 2 electives) for Fundamentals of Rigging Engineering – a $10,000 value. Applicants must complete a questionnaire including 3 short essay questions about why they wish to pursue further education and how it can benefit their current work environment. Applications will be accepted until July 31st.
