Specialized Carriers & Rigging Foundation Providing Scholarships and Grants to Students Interested in Heavy Industry

The Specialized Carriers & Rigging Foundation is a nonprofit organization that exists to support SC&RA Member companies and industry as a whole. The foundation funds industry specific research projects and awards that add up to nearly $60,000 in scholarships and grants every year. Foundation scholarships and grants are provided annually to SC&RA member company employees, their children, and their grandchildren to learn a skill in the heavy industry trade.

“It’s important that SC&RA has a foundation established to serve the needs of young people and their education,” said ITI President & CEO, Zack Parnell. “ITI is thrilled to be a part of the Grant program, and respectfully challenges any training institution in the world to be a part of this effort so that we can collectively bring opportunity and skills to those representing the future of the industry.”

ITI’s partnership with the foundation will allow worthy grant applicants interested in the crane, rigging, and specialized transport industries to be awarded ITI courses to prepare for NCCCO certification.

The next deadline to apply for the SC&R Foundation grant is October 31, 2018. Click here to apply
