Course Subjects
- Regulatory Knowledge: OSHA and ASME/ITSDF standards, operator certification and re-training requirements.
- General Safety: Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and standard hand signals.
- Equipment Fundamentals: Forklift types and components.
- Stability and Capacity: Stability triangle, load center, and how factors like attachments, boom extension, and ground conditions affect capacity.
- Pre-Operation Inspection: Procedures for daily safety checks and reporting defects.
- Safe Operation: Proper startup and shutdown procedures, maneuvering techniques, and hazard recognition.
- Practical Skills: Hands-on practice and evaluation of pre-operational inspections and safe operation.
