Great Feedback from Rigging Gear Inspector Training

SGS Safety offered rigging inspection training this week which was presented by Industrial Training International, Inc. There were attendees selected from each Maintenance RA [Repair Area], the Training organization and Safety. The completion of the combination classroom and hands-on field training is a 24 hour technical training that will result (upon successful completion / testing), in attendees receiving a designation of "Certified Rigging Inspector". We are already receiving positive feedback from attendees on the quality of the information being shared. The follow-on plan is to have additional rigging inspection training at a less intense level for other rigging.

Great Rigging Training for our Crew!

Recently we were required to make a 3-crane pick on an ice breaker barge being built at our facility. This was a specialty lift that required several months of pre-planning including developing a critical lift plan and organizing pre-lift meetings with everyone involved. The lift was a great success! Our experienced crew has gained tremendous knowledge and skill by attending advanced training and hands-on activities provided by Industrial Training International. Challenging workshops, hands-on instruction and superior instructors prepared us to accomplish projects like this!

Having many years of experience in the crane training industry, I have dealt with many of the major training companies. I can honestly say that Industrial Training International, Inc in Woodland, WA is without a doubt one of the most impressive facilities that I have ever seen.

I attended a Journeyman Rigger Program that offered not only classroom time but also a hands-on approach providing us with the knowledge and skill necessary to properly move loads using slings and other rigging hardware. The program was presented by an instructor who was very knowledgeable and has years of experience in the industry. The information and experience that I received was invaluable.
